DALLAS – Gardner Haas PLLC, a new Dallas law firm launched by veterans of a prominent litigation boutique, is ready to serve companies and individuals seeking innovative, successful resolution of their business disputes. Attorneys Michael S. Gardner and Eric P. Haas are committed to providing the same level of service and expertise clients expect from major firms, but in a more nimble, responsive and efficient environment.

“Eric and I spent many years at one of the nation’s most prestigious business litigation firms, so we know how to try and win sophisticated cases at the highest level,” says Mr. Gardner. “We also know how to save clients’ time and money by combining the best practices from the old school and the new school. We communicate early and often with our clients to make sure we know their priorities and goals, and we leverage the latest technology to make our work more efficient.”

In addition to offering big-firm expertise without extravagant, big-firm overhead, Gardner Haas is committed to partnering with clients to offer financial incentives for early success, says Mr. Haas.

“The traditional billable hour is a disincentive to the efficiency our clients deserve,” he says. “We have found that a contingency fee or a hybrid contingency/hourly arrangement is an excellent tool for ensuring that success for our clients means success for our firm.”

Before co-founding Gardner Haas, Mr. Gardner was one of only five equity partners at Dallas-based Bickel & Brewer. He has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in state, federal, and international courts, including trials and appeals. He also handles domestic and international arbitrations. Mr. Gardner regularly assists clients in hospitality, fiduciary, bankruptcy, environmental, securities, intellectual property, trade secret, oil and gas, labor and employment, insurance, real estate, antitrust and white-collar criminal defense matters.

A repeat honoree on the annual Texas Super Lawyers list, Mr. Gardner also has earned prior recognition on D Magazine’s list of Dallas’ best lawyers under age 40. He received his law degree from George Washington University School of Law after securing a bachelor of arts from Brigham Young University.

Mr. Haas, also formerly of Bickel & Brewer, represents clients in state and federal courts around the country, as well as domestic and international arbitration proceedings. He handles commercial matters involving claims for breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, bad faith, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, patent infringement, environmental damages, and securities law violations.

Mr. Haas has earned recognition several times on the Texas Rising Stars list of the state’s top young attorneys, most recently in 2014. He completed his law degree, cum laude, at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and earned his bachelor of business administration degree, cum laude, from Baylor University.
